The Tactical Gamer Promotional Video Contest is OVER!
Much later than anyone planned, and plagued by a lot of technical problems and delays (for which Augustus Gloop claims full responsibility, ready your rotten fruit! Take aim...) We finally have our acts together! Apophis has been kind enough to contribute to the prizes, and we have a few other tidbits to throw in there to sweeten the pot. The contributers have been VERY patient, and the rest of you had to have been wondering what the heck was taking us so long... But now is the time to honor those who took the time to prepare something for the good of their community, and everyone who might join us because of what they have done to spread the word.
As everyone here knows, the strength of Tactical Gamer comes from its people and the time they take to give back to the community. Those of you who can pay, do. Those of you who can't, uphold the spirit and rules just the same. As everyone here knows, the strength of Tactical Gamer comes from its people and the time they take to give back to the community. Everyone can have an affect; if you frequent other forums, wear a TG banner in your sig. Write posts about the experiences you've had here. Talk about us to your friends. When you carry your | TG| tags to other servers, do us proud. Others will want to know how they can join our "clan". Tell them. Invite them. Teach them.
Those of you who have the talent to reach out and lift someone else out of the pubbie hordes, brush them off, and stand them up upon their own feet need to do all they can. We need them as much as they need us.
We had a specific goal in mind, to end up with videos we could post on Youtube and other places that would show the obvious strengths of Tactical Gamer: our teamwork and communication. We plan to develop our brand identity on these social networking video sites, (and just like my beginnings here) show others where to find the squad play they've been searching for. We ended up with some really wonderful videos, full of teamwork, tactics, and real camaraderie. I hope they inspire more of you to put your vision of TG down and make your own movies.

I really enjoyed Dirtboy's one, this is as good as a PR video can possibly be. I particularly enjoyed the classical music opening and the camera work moving around as if you were part of the squad

I would like to thank ... (that's how this works, right?) ... Lorian for creating the spinning TG Logo, WhiskeySix from the 12th Division for re-uploading their excellent "Feel the fear" video and allowing me to use parts from it, ExplodingSilver for providing over 30 minutes of recorded in-game VOIP chatter, E-Male for having his AAR videos up on Google Video and everyone at TG for making this community the best place for online gaming.
