Your 8800GTS should produce some nice WUs. My 8800GTX completes a WU every 2.5 hours for 480 points each. I also have a console one running on my second processor. One on my wife's P4, and 2 more on my system at work.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
good lord man.....no wonder your number 1.
@ Mr Fighter- I installed all of those just to get past you. Dont ask me why, I just felt competive at the time. I have been thinking of installing it on the GPU and others before. You just gave me the nudge I needed.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
Well, with -smp, gpu, and a systray on one machine; two systrays on two other machine, I have moved from number 60 something to number 15....
Its kinda cool to do something good for no other reason than its good for everyone. Lets get more people on to this. And get some of our inactive people back into it.

I noticed your 8800GTS has really pumped up your output.
This really is a nice way to give back when your machine is idle.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
I had to revamp the DVR and haven't re-installed the client yet, I will shortly...
the 9600GTS won't do much, but if I let the GPU client run free on the desktop with the 4870.. I'm curious to see how much it'll crank.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
There. Have the CPU and GPU client doing some catchup work on the DVR, before I crank them down to actual Idle levels...
and I have my 4870 cranking away on it's own project, so I'll let that run for a few hours and perhaps overnight as well, to also help catch up.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
Be sure to check up on all the stats, people!
We've been consistently moving up in the ranks. We are now ranked #655!!!
draeh is of course, still pulling the lead I could probably catch up if I left all three computers in the house on full tilt CPU and GPU client both, for a while. But the likelihood of that is low
As it stands, the majority of work is done with the CPU and GPU clients on the DVR. Because of it's low power usage, I'll probably install the client on my AA1 laptop.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
If my wife approves, I'll be getting a new video card this christmas. If that happens, I have a secondary machine that will inherit my 8800gtx. Then I will have it and a new card to do my folding.

Yes indeedy.
I just set it up on the AA1 laptop, so it'll crank some 1.6Ghz HT goodness.
