Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
I'll dedicate some spare CPU cycles on my MCE DVR to this, once I get home and set it up on there.
For now, it just runs on some idle time on my work laptop."But way back where I come from, we never mean to bother. We don't like to make our passions other peoples' concern." -Dar Williams

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
What are the best tweaks to get my 2 9600GTXs in SLI mode to pump out some serious WUs?

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
This is weird. I installed the software last night, punched in our team number (78445) and started running it all night. Out of curiousity I pulled up our team stats this morning and couldn't find myself. So I searched my user name and found out I'm on this team: [H]ardOCP
Tonight I guess I'll double check the team number I put in.|TG-55| Infantry Division - Captain

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
the thing about CUDA m8 is that it uses 1 GFX cpu and 1 PC cpu.
so if running 2 vid cards you have to have 2 pc cpu's. kinda sucks
being the GFX cards have their own CPU but they need your PC's cpu to work.
so what are you running to choose your settings??? i run BOINC being i crunch
many many diffrent projects. in BOINC it has a setting where you can set
how many cpu's you want to devote to whatever project your running and being it now handles both GFX cards and PC cpu's if you only have use 1 cpu well then thats all boinc will use.
so check your settings and make sure you have use atleast 2 cpu's

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
am currently running a laptop, my wifes system and my computer on FAH systray; my 8800GTS on FAH gpu; -smp on my computer. With nothing running on my system but the FAH apps, my Q6600 runs at 58%. I just started fah on my wife's system and the gpu and -smp apps today, I have been running fah on my computer and an older panasonic toughbook for about a week, so I am kinda excited to see how many WU I can pump out.
