Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
While the TG folding team is doing pretty good (by no means great with only 14 active folders) there's gotta be something we can do to up production.
I've only got 1 more machine I bring online it's just a crummy AMD 3700+ processor and the video card will not fold. Maybe I'll get that up and running tonight.
Is there anyone out there with a few tri SLI boards and a bunch of 295 GTX's they could throw in?

Just to bump this up, we are trending down in points. Like way down. Remember to fold people!

Sorry I'm no longer folding in an effort to save energy and lower my energy bill. Hopefully after summer ends I can pick it back up again

Nice. Now that the cold weather is upon us, we should hopefully see and increase in activity. A computer that's folding makes a great space heater!

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
o0o my new 2970 is working good as a space heater now that we got this cold front! Not too loud either. Now well see what happens when I drop a second processor in it! Im also having trouble getting FAH to use all four cores, any ideas? It would not let me install to a second directory.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
I never had any luck with the multi core app. I just grabbed a few copies of the single core app.
With my quad core it balances load over all 4 cores, so instead of loading one to 100%, it loads all 4 to 25%.
I'm pretty sure you have to use the console version to run more than instance of it.

Yay, just joined. Didn't know we had a team. I wonder if I can get all my PC's working under the same name......

Nightwolf:
It escapes me right now, since they bundled F@h into PSlife I cannot think of the steps to assign a team. I'll look at it tonight and post up how to do it.

Re: Folding @ Home: TG bands together to advance disease research
Update: we are now in position 585. Keep up the folding! I got my new 2.6GHz 6-core opteron on order for the 2970
That should speed things up a bit.
