Arma Skills competition
So you think you can fly? But can you do it when it counts?
Announcing the TG ArmA skills competition series.

In the first ever competition of its sort here at Tactical Gamer we will be hosting a competition to see who has skills and can back it up. This will be a series of gatherings to afford the opportunity for people to come check out the skills the ArmA community has and eventually crown someone "The Best".
The first iteration of the competitions will be to determine who is the best helicopter pilot. This event will entail performing difficult maneuvers while being spectated and graded by the admins and viewed by your peers. Make a mistake here and I am sure there will be videos of it running around for a while!!
Who: All interested helicopter pilots in and outside TG.
Where: TG ArmA Server #1 64.34.178.169:2312 and on TeamSpeak
When: Sunday 16 November @ 1330 EST
Rules: - This will be a timed event
- You will have a CoPilot judge (ArmA Admin BlackDog)
- You will fly a set course (same for everyone)
- Penalties will be deducted for helo damage or missed checkpoints
- Spectators and chase helicopter will be allowed to video (actually encouraged)
- Winner will be posted at the completion of the event.
Now as a incentive and added bragging rights, the winner will be awarded the AirCav Ribbon to add to their profile.
Now if flying is not your forte, fear not. This is not a one time thing, nor is it limited solely to helicopters. We will also be hosting a jet competition and an armor competition in the near future. On top of that, if there is enough interest we will expand the competition to possibly driving and even nautical skills.
So go sign up now and be a part of a great time and possibly be crowned the best helo pilot in ArmA!! Head on over to the ArmA forums today to sign up...... Good luck!!

Re: Arma Skills competition
I'm waiting for the "Who can crash, while amasing the largest teamkills" competition
I think spectators should be provided with Shilkas just to make things interesting

Blackdog isn't flying, he is judge, so i would say that competition is still open!
Extra points for taking out the chase copter?

Re: Arma Skills competition
You will all burn in hell!
(Mental note to self, Jeepo seems to have damaged his Helo when he put his foot in it, 10 second penalty!)

I don't play ArmA, but this sounds AWESOME. Good luck with the competition, can't wait to see some of the videos that come of it.

Re: Arma Skills competition
Sounds pretty frakkin sweet. I may just have to reinstall ArmA just to spectate.
Count me in if/when a driving competition comes around.
