Tacticum - NEW Online Tactical Center

Various games at Tactical Gamer participate in scrimmages, leagues, and tournaments. One of the more enjoyable aspects for these events are the pre-planning that takes place. A new online planning tool is making its way across Tactical Gamer and we thought we'd put the word out so more of our players can enjoy this application.

The following is a post from one of the founders:
Around a year ago we decided to create a tool that helps the online gamer (us) to create tactics and share them with his clan mates. Being gamers ourselves we didn't want to install the tool on every computer we use so the best solution was to create a website.
Now a year after the site is launched and we would like to share this with you. Tacticum.com is a website created by gamers for gamers. Therefore it is free to use and would remain like that. We currently supply maps from some known games and would expand that list as we go. You may also upload your own maps, or send map packs to us so we can add them to the list.
The idea was to create a tool that allows easy, fast and dynamic creation of tactics. A tool that is 24/7 online and doesn't have to be installed or updated.
An online demo version of the tool is available and can be found on the site.
We are still in the beginning and we have many ideas. If you want to contribute in any way please let us know. More information can be found on the FAQ page on the site.
Enjoy,
Team Tacticum

I nearly thought the name was a joke. I still kinda do. Useful or not, I can't believe they'd intentionally pick that name.

Re: Tacticum - NEW Online Tactical Center
Well the name comes from combining (latin):
tactica - art of deploying forces in war.
centrum - center of a circle.
Why, what did you think? :P
If it makes you remember the name, we did our job!

Ha! I thought it was latin sounding and, until now, never really thought of anything else...

Sounds like a movie that comes on late nights on Cinemax.

Great work though!

Cool service, unfortunate name! Good to see something like this exists.
"No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.
He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."
