    24-hr Free trial of Left 4 Dead

    Free 24-Hour Trial!

    Starting tonight, 8pm (EST)


    Starting tonight, Thursday April 30th, at 8pm EST, Steam will be opening up the PC version of Left 4 Dead with a free 24-hour trial for all to try! The trial includes access to the recently released Survival Pack DLC. Those who wish to take advantage of the offer can now pre-load everything needed to play with no obligation to purchase.

    There will be plenty of TG'ers looking to show you the ropes, so when you're ready for a game, be sure to hop in the TG-L4D chat room in steam! This game takes hardcore, multiplayer teamwork - don't waste your time in offline single-player!

    Left for dead has three game-modes. In the campaigns, you play through the 5 scenes of a movie in cooperative mode. In versus, you also play through 5 levels, but you alternate playing as survivors and the infected, seeing who can make it the farthest. Survival mode is pure mayhem, where you and 3 friends hole-up and try to survive as long as possible - there's a stop-watch running at the top of the screen as wave after wave of infected 'zombies' pour in. It's generally recommended that you play through one of the five-scene campaigns before you give versus or survival modes a serious go.

    Thanks, Whiskey! I've had this since it was released, but haven't played it much for some reason (damn you CoD4). I'll try to make it in after 9:00PST - I hope you guys are still online at that time!

    Guys I HATE Zombies, but this is the best multiplayer team game in years. Get this and you will thank yourself after hours of great teamplay.

    Had lotsa fun with it on Saturday so I pulled the trigger on this, even though I didn't see any of the TG servers ever populated during the trial weekend :-(
