After nearly a year of development EA & DICE are releasing a huge patch for Battlefield 2 this coming week. Besides of a list of game improvements and bug fixes there is also something else to this patch.

Battlefield 2 had two Booster Packs released - “Euro Forces” & “Armored Fury”. Which are now free for all players! In addition there is a totally new map coming which has never been seen before on the Battlefield. “Operation Blue Pearl”.

But we’re not done yet. Tactical Gamer's Battlefield2 server will be ready and waiting!



Mod Support

As you know TG is hosting POE (PointOfExistence) and PR (Project Reality) which are Battlefield2 mods. The POE community have found no issues with the open betas of this new patch. As for the PR community I’m afraid that the news are different. They are still working on a fix for this new patch and recommend you do not install 1.5 if you wish to continue playing PR until the fix is ready. Information on PR can be found here!

The game doesn't crash anymore on Vista or windows 7 that being said hit detection still blows bullet divination is still moronic jets still rape everything in sight :\
