Re: Shattered Horizon just over the horizon!
Just downloaded it and tried it for a hour or so and interesting. Simple game, both sides have the same gun and suit and everything, However, this also helps with the balance, since both sides are identical.
The 3D environment makes things interesting, now you got to keep watching above you as well.
If you have the specs, its worth the 20 bucks to pick it up.

Re: Shattered Horizon just over the horizon!
I really am loving this game. Takes a couple hours to learn the basic layout of the maps. Once you get that it helps get rid of a lot of the vertigo and disorientation.
Reached number 44 on the leaderboards!..but now I've got to call it a night.
edit: Created a Shattered Horizon steam group so we can find each other more easily to organize some games.

Re: Shattered Horizon just over the horizon!
Looks interesting, but no in game VOIP and only 32 players makes it seem not that great...
Sure, theres TS, but having VOIP integrated greatly increases chance of having a good teamwork right out of the box with random strangers instead of having to load TS to find some decent gameplay.

Re: Shattered Horizon just over the horizon!
I've got most of the specs covered. I have 4GB RAM, GeForce 8800GT, Windows 7. The only thing I'm not sure about is the processor.
It says minimum: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600.
Windows says I have:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80 GHz 1.80 GHz.
The processor and windows are 64-bit.

Re: Shattered Horizon just over the horizon!
I have to say VOIP isn't really an issue, it's fun to talk with your buds on TS but in game it really doesn't seem to make too much of a difference. I don't think we actually used it for any tactics. You get a mark on your HUD to go to attack and you fly over there. It's best to go in groups but as far as tactics go, right now its much more deathmatchy. Respawns are way too fast, I hope to find some servers slowing down the pace.

Re: Shattered Horizon just over the horizon!
It's a good game and innovative but it won't last long if they don't release an SDK and dedicated server tools soon. Great ideas in this game and could be exploited by the gaming community.
