Teamspeak 3 Open Beta Announced
After years of waiting, Teamspeak 3 is one step closer!

Windows 7 compatibility is great news for the next generation of teamspeak. I am really hoping that this version will add many of the things we have wanted in TS.We are pleased to announce OPEN BETA TESTING of the TeamSpeak 3 client and server will commence:
* SATURDAY DEC 19th, 2009
* 13:37 CET (Central European Time)
* 07:37 EST (Eastern Standard Time)
Both the TeamSpeak 3 Client and Server will be available for download and testing on the following platforms:
* Windows (32bit and 64bit)
* Mac OS X (Intel and PPC)
* Linux (32bit and 64bit)
We have received numerous queries regarding whether TeamSpeak 3 will be compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 and in short, both client and server WILL be compatible with these operating systems.
Edit: TG will be looking to get a TS3 server setup. No ETA yet.Last edited by asch; 11-24-2009 at 02:19 PM. Reason: Noted TG will look to get a server.

Well, TS2 runs fine on Win7 so nothing special by announcing that TS3 will have Win7 support.

I'm looking forward to it! Hopefully the channel display will stay focused on what you click on rather than jumping all over the place when someone enters/leaves a channel. The ability to nest channels deeper than 2 levels is something else I'm looking forward to.

Only thing that I foresee being a problem is the data hosting - all the files uploaded via TS3 will be loaded by the server hosting it...

It would be nice if when you collapse other channels that they stay collapsed.

I keep checking their blog every couple of weeks, and can't believe they actually have something real to announce. It's about time!

I know. I have been waiting for a LONG time for some news. I hope the full version is released soon after.
