Second Annual Badger Hunt - Final Results
The time has finally come to announce the winners of the 2004 Tactical Gamer Badger Hunt. Thank you to all of the brave souls who participated, regardless of scores (or lack thereof). If you missed it this year, be sure to get in early next year, where we will hopefully have the Badger Hunt on Ghost Recon 2!
When all was said and done, only 4 teams managed to find and kill Badger, half of which were done in the final 3 minutes of the match. First-hand accounts of the joys of Badger Maulings can be found in the Badger Hunt Forum. Go check it out! First place is awarded to Havok and Newswrthy with a final score of 18. They each walk away with our Grand Prize package: a Nostromo Speedpad n52, Ghost Recon 2 PC (upon release), Ghost Recon 2 for the console of their choice, Far Cry, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Soldner:Secret Wars, a complete PVR Upgrade Kit, and 6 months all-access membership to Tactical Gamer. Congratulations, Gentlemen! Check out a recap of how they managed to bag Badger on River in 1 min, 30 sec in the Badger Hunt Forum. Second place is awarded to Quarath and Jex with a final score of 9. They have each won Soldner: Secret Wars and 3 months all-access membership to Tactical Gamer. Third place is awarded to Karma and Squid with a final score of 3. They have each won 1 month of all-access membership to Tactical Gamer. Honorable mention goes out to Leejo and Apophis who tied for 3rd place with a final score of 3. As staff members, they are not eligible for prizes, but they deserve a shout out for being the only other team to put a score onto the leaderboard. Click HERE to check out the awards and final standings. Congratulations to all of the winners! |

Re: Second Annual Badger Hunt - Final Results
I am, I must say stunned. I promise, Luna I will do a write up now that details can be told to merit this privalidge. All at this pointall I can say is "Thank you to evey one". when the shock and awe wares off I will have more to say. lol I always do. I think you guys have done a wonderful job with this. even with all of the rescedules and problems along the way. I think the real winners here are Luna and Phyllis, with out whom this never would have been posible. You guys have done a wonderful job and I think I can safely say thank you from All of us. I know that My time here at TG has brought me nothing but good things.

Re: Second Annual Badger Hunt - Final Results
I will try a brief write-up as well.
I note that we are the only team to get point on the first map before tanking on the second map. Not quite sure what that's worth though! :|

Re: Second Annual Badger Hunt - Final Results
Havok, News,
Congratulations! You guys did great! I guess I'll have to ask Santa for that speedpad... I was a pretty good boy though! Luna, Phyllis, Thanks to the both of you for organizing and running the tournament. You both did an excellent job... highly professional in spite of you volunteer status! Badger, Thank you. Obviously, it wouldn't have been much of a Badger Hunt without THE Badger! Thanks for the lesson. I'm a better player as a result. Dirty Joe, Thanks for being my partner. So we're at the bottom of the list... We had a good run. Next year we win this thing!

Re: Second Annual Badger Hunt - Final Results
Wow good show all. I have to tell you there is as much luck as any thing in this. I didn't even have a partner until a week ot so before the hunt and that one was tentative becasue he didn't know if his computer was going to be working. I showed up hoping but not expecting anything. I hadn't practiced at all, just figured I put in a showing. Great thanks to Jex for jumping and allowing me to compete. Oh and of course for actually shooting badger. I of course never saw him. Big thanks to Badger, Luna, and Phillis for making this all happen.

A big thanks to the "Badger", luna, Phyl and the rest of the gang here at TG for coming together to put on this fabulous event!! You can expect that next year will be a bigger event, as most of our team will now want their shot at the Badger.
Congratulations to everyone that participated in the shoot-out, this was a blast!! Just a warning to everyone ----- NewsWrthy and I plan on taking this event again next year ;-)
