Tactical Gamer is pleased to announce that we are now officially supporting the new Reality Mod for Joint Operations. This new mod is exactly what we've been looking for from Joint Operations since the initial game launch. It provides a whole new feel to the game that is far less "run & gun" than the original JO.
Among the many changes made to the game with this mod, here are a few of the important ones for us.
• Run speed has been reduced considerably.
• Recoil is MUCH more realistic.
• Tracers are enabled but the compass-map fire indicator "wedges" are not.
• No more crosshairs. You must either scope-in your rifle or use the iron sights.
• New scopes for most of the scoped rifles / sniper rifles.
• Limited ammo in emplaced weapons.
This mod has been installed on our Joint Operations server. Members may grab the mod in the
Tactical Gamer Downloads section. After downloading the mod, simply copy the included folder into your main Joint Operations directory and you'll be good to go!
