EA Games and DICE have released some new screenshots of the upcoming FPS, Battlfield 2. A new video interview with Scott Evans, the Executive Producer for Battlefield 2 has also been released. In this video Scott talks about the in-game weapons and multiplayer aspects of the game. EA is promising Part 3 of the video interview sometime in late March of 2005.

Well, it *looks* astonishing. I hope and pray that the gameplay lives up to the visuals. I *really* don't want another Joint Ops disappointment.

Re: New Battlefield 2 Screenshots!

Man, listening to the Exec Producer talk about the commander role makes me thrilled to be playing NS now and excited about playing BF2 when it's released.

For NS to get large enough to really benefit from squad commanders, you have to have a count of players on the ground such that the game's design really fails to accomodate the chaos. I'm sure BF2 is designed to adequately cater to more actors.

mmmmm exciting.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

Ooohhh baby! I know that I'll need to buy a Cray to run this, but I'll happily do so if it lives up to the hype.

Re: New Battlefield 2 Screenshots!

I found some pre-alpha video footage online.

The video requires the Divx 5.0 (DX50) codec.
