Tactical Gamer is pleased to announce the start of our provisioning efforts for two new game servers. The order has been placed for a new server that will be hosting both Day of Defeat Source and Dystopia. Two new games that our supporting members are showing great interest in.

Day of Defeat Source is a re-make of the popular Day of Defeat mod for the original Half-Life engine. It is a World War II based FPS with objectives similar to other FPS games. It was widely popular while run under the Half-Life engine and we expect it to be equally as popular now that it has been migrated over to the new Source engine.

Dystopia is a futuristic game also running under the Source engine with a very unique environment and challenging objectives. Dystopia offers two different realms in which the game is played. A traditional FPS realm often termed "meat-space" and a virtual reality realm in which players navigate a TRON-like wire-frame environment to complete complementary objectives that support those playing in the meat-space realm.

With the addition of these two new games, I am also pleased to announce the appointment of Random Guy as the new Game Officer for Day of Defeat Source. Random Guy has been with TG for as long as I can possibly remember and has been a strong contributor and supporter of our community. Please join with me in extending a warm welcome to Random in this new role as Game Officer.

A game officer for Dystopia has not yet been named, but several candidates are currently being evaluated.

A complete forum structure will be created for both of these games over the next couple of days, so be prepared for things to shift around a little bit.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.
