Civilization IV Comes to Tactical Gamer
Tactical Gamer has supported a wide variety of games throughout the years, although in most cases those games tend to be first person shooters. In the past year we have grown to support a few new varieties of games including RPGs such as Neverwinter Nights and MMORPG games like World of Warcraft. Tactical Gamer is pleased to announce that we will be now be supporting Civilization IV! We have already created game-specific forums for Civ IV as well as a series of TeamSpeak channels for people to utilize to play this new turn-based strategy game.
An annoucement will be going up very soon about the new Civilization IV Ladder that is going to be created over at http://www.TacticalConflict.com. The ladder will support 1v1 play and rank all the participants to determine who is the Civilization IV champion!

Awesome! That means I'm gonna have to pick this one up some time. Also, the TS channels should be good fun for scheming, schmoozing, wheeling and dealing

TG could also make a "game of the month" type game..... Civfanatics runs something like this.
its basicaly a save game, that everyone runs. the one with the highest score wins the month, and gets points... Its single player, but still fun watching other peoples stratages progress and see how other people got to different results....
Have fun playing Civ4, UK have yet to get a copy

Re: Civilization IV Comes to Tactical Gamer
Overlag, thats a pretty good idea. Maybe you should propose that to someone who could help put that together. RTS games take so long to play, especially those with nation building. Putting some more players in the mix would be a lot more fun. Has anybody read how the multiplayer is on this game? Ive got a lot of time into Empire Earth (the first one) and the multiplayer there was great. Also played a bit of Rome but the multiplayer there was just the war and took all of the nation building out. I also read somewhere that you can play Civ 4 via e mail per turn. It might take forever, but it might be an interesting chess match that wont take 4 hours per night.

Is the multiplayer stable now? It blew chunks even after the first patch, so people moved on to other games...
