To most (if not all) of the regulars who frequent our Natural Selection server, our server is nothing more than the best place to play Natural Selection online. But our server isn't part only of the Tactical Gamer community, of course. It is part also of a larger Natural Selection community.

Also part of this larger community is Natural Selection Radio, a group of players who stream music and game-specific media on a not-for-profit radio station robust with DJs, on-air game news, scheduled shows, developer interviews, and even the participation of listeners, who "call in" during shows using a Ventrilo server which is mixed into the broadcast. Almost (if not) as old as the game itself, the broadcast was recently used by Natural Selection's creator/developers to answer player questions as a minimalist and post-hack NaturalSelection.com announced the imminent release of the game's next version (NS 3.1 was finally released yesterday!).

NSRadio is working hard to deliver a quality contribution to the community, which makes it, in a way, similar to the great players who support our server and, in turn, the NS community at large, by bringing to our server (and the title) the quality they do. In that light, NSRadio.net and Tactical Gamer are sponsoring each other during the week of November 13th. Besides linking to Tactical Gamer from their forums, NSRadio will be announcing the sponsorship of our NS server during "Oldies Night With Depot," this Saturday night between 9PM and 11PM (e) and giving away a week-long reserved slot for the server on Destroyer's "Weekend Warrior" show the next day. The broadcast will bring NSRadio listeners to our server (one of whom will enjoy the reserved slot), which will be promoting NSRadio during the week.
