TG World of Warcraft Guild takes on Zul'Gurub

Last night, the Tactical Gamer World of Warcraft guild plowed its way through Zul'Gurub and did a spectacular job. Congratulations to the guild on their successful run!

Under the leadership of Crebis (Orion to the rest of us), we first went to pick a fight with High Priest Venoxis and his 4 snake chronies for our attempt at the Snake Aspect. We anticipated a difficult fight, as we had suffered a difficult time with this guy the last time we went to visit. Incredibly, we managed to one-shot him! You should have heard the cheers on teamspeak as we counted down his hit points- "3%!! 2%!! 1% Oh my god, go go go!!! YEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!" It was glorious. We looted the Zulian Stone Axe off of his sorry corpse as well as an epic quest item.

High on our accomplishment, we made our way over to High Priestess Jeklik for our encounter with the Bat Aspect. We had successfully taken her down once before WoW issued a patch that made her MUCH more difficult to kill. Since then, our attempts have been in vain- until last night. It took us a few tries to figure out what class needed to be standing where and doing what, but on our third try, we did it! The cheers were deafening, and we were all high as kites on the adrenaline rush. Special thanks to ZeddZorander who selflessly brought us supplies that we desperately needed to finish her off. She dropped the Zulian Defender for us, as well as another epic quest item.

Congratulations to the Tactical Gamer Guild! Thank you to everyone who participated, and to Alava, who helped organize this run. Thank you to Crebis for leading us on one hell of an adventure!

Congratulations.

Indeed, the greatness of teamwork is often best measured by looking back on the mountain you have just moved with it.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Re: TG World of Warcraft Guild takes on Zul'Gurub

TG's WoW guild is very interested in welcoming all members of TG's other gaming communities to the World of Warcraft. It remains one of the top-rated games of all time for good reason (why do you think it's sometimes called "Warcrack"?!?)

It combines role playing with teamwork, gear with tactics...and the usual TG fun on Teamspeak.

It is fun and challenging from the start...and gets better from there. If you want to give it a try, we are Alliance side on the Thunderhorn Server.

Check out the WoW game forum and post your interest there...we'll welcome you aboard and be happy to show you around.
