Eidos Unleashes the PC Demo for Commandos Strike Force

Eidos Unleashes the PC Demo for Commandos Strike Force!!!

Eidos releases the PC Demo as well as the Official Box Art for Commandos Strike Force, the intense stealth combat game. The latest edition of the Commandos series redefines the franchise by fusing first-person action and stealth gameplay. Play as one of three elite members of the Commandos Strike Force Team, each with their own unique strengths and abilities. Switch seamlessly between Commandos during gameplay, take control and determine what tactics and approach you want to utilize to complete a mission. Experience an angle of World War II that you have not seen before, as you infiltrate behind enemy lines to strike where it hurts the most.

The PC Demo features two different playable levels. In the first level you get to play as the Spy George Brown. This training level drops you in the French countryside, where you stalk the enemy and strike when they least expect it, all while teaching you the basic skills you’ll need in the process. The other level lets you lead an ambush utilizing the abilities of the Green Beret Francis O’Brien, and the Sniper William Hawkins. Strategize and switch on-the-fly between both Commandos as you battle your way up a mountain pass.

To download the demo, please visit the Eidos Interactive download section at:

First off, that boat mission was an ambush? Anyone else disagree?

I was a fan of the previous versions of Commandos, and I think I prefer that 2d view to this new play-style. The demo just felt like a first person shooter from 4 years ago, and there wasn't much freedom to deviate from the path set before you. The tricks that made gameplay entertaining before, are useless in 3d. My opinion is that this is a step backwards from Commandos 2.

Momma always told me "if you don't have anything nice to say... then don't say anything at all"...

so I will leave with, IMO, I installed, played, deleted... too many other good games to mess with something like that.

Oh... and R6: Lockdown is not one of them, lol.

It was all right.
Take splinter cell without a good story smash it with (more like superglue it) to COD without the historical accuracy and voice acting and you get this.
It was interesting but not worth buying.

There are much better games than this one. Installed, played it and deleted it after playing it for 5 minutes.

I agree with you completely.. Definitely not worth the price of admission.

I agree with the above posters. I gave it 30 minutes of my time and decided I'd had enough. I like the older Commandos games; this new FPS style is rubbish.

Re: Eidos Unleashes the PC Demo for Commandos Strike Force

I really dont think they picked the right level for a demo. A demo should really let you get a feel for a few different types of gameplay that will set the game apart from the competition/predecessors. This demo doesnt do it and its extremely short. I agree with everyone else and probably pass this one up. Besides I already own this game, its called Hidden and Dangerous.
