And now, hopefully all the people that stopped playing BF2 because they were bored with the same ol' maps will come back to fill the servers!

Yay!

Re: Tactical Gamer fully supporting Booster Packs

Any date on when this will officially kick in? Perhaps waiting until AF is out?

Also for all the TG BF2 players. The server will be rough for a while. It might be weeks before we ever see a full 64 player server again but this will be part of the process. Over time this should work as the regulars of the community pick up the booster and new players come to fill in the holes. I also hope people realize that seeding the server will become even more important now. Finally I hope we don't see major player drops during the older vanilla maps. You may be more interested in the new maps but please help support the server by playing the older maps and keeping the server as populated as possible. The whole point is to bump up the map count to add variety and not to only play the new maps and burn out on those quickly.

late edit: Also to the admins. I noticed before the switch to the new server 1 that the old one spammed a message every x minutes detailing that the old one was closing and what the new one is. Since there is probably some server regulars that don't read the forums this seems like a good way to let them know of the changes coming.

Re: Tactical Gamer fully supporting Booster Packs

Well done admins. A firm decision one way or the other was definitely needed. As Mantis says we now need to be extra vigilant in getting the server seeded and rocking until the transition period is over.

Re: Tactical Gamer fully supporting Booster Packs

Please try to avoid suggestion how players spend their money. While something may be inexpensive to some, it's expensive to others. It's also a players personal decision where they feel they are getting value. Maybe a night at the movies is more imporant. Either way, just make sure we're not condescending or patronizing when it comes to discussions like this.

I'm sorry, but I just could not let this one pass. So maybe that is why you are so irritable at times.
