Patch for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Ubisoft announced today that a patch will be coming out shortly (within a few hours) for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. As usual, when this patch is released we will get it up in the members download area as soon as possible! No new word yet on the multiplayer/server kit, but we're keeping our eyes out for it! We've met with mixed success so far with player hosted Co-Op games, but we are anxiously awaiting any news regarding the ability for us to host standalone dedicated servers WITHOUT the excessive video hardware requirements.
According to the patch announcement on the German Ubisoft forums, the following fixes are headed our way:
- Client no longer receives "CD key rejected" message when server dies in coop.
- Crosscom border now correctly disappears when spawning into AI ghost in coop.
- Fixed issues with leaving mission area in coop.
- Fixed in-mission inventory issues that could cause double gun objects.
- Player nicknames are now correctly shortened to fit Ghost leader HUD in coop.
- A memory leak occurring in certain situations when playing Domination has been sealed.
- Ghost AI is now less likely to stare at the walls when taking cover.
- Adjusted map settings and glitches on missions 3, 4 and 10.
- Certain animations have been corrected.
- Adjusted sounds for certain objects.
- Some text strings have been added or corrected.
Update: Supporting members can download the 1.06 patch here

Re: Patch for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Not bad.
Nothing major in there but i'm sure the leaving mission area bug will be a welcome fix. Also, it will be nice to jump back into the server after a failed mission attempt instead of having to re-create the server evertime.
Keep em coming Grin.

Looks like it was a memory leak after all.
Seriously, I'm stoked that they're coming out with a quick patch to fix some of the more minor problems. I hope they keep the patches comin'.

Re: Patch for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
They shouldn't have a problem releasing a ton of minor patches since there are no dedicated servers that need to be likewise upgraded....

Huzzah
This is good news. Now if they can fix the plethora of other MP issues we'll really be going.
Still, very encouraging news.

Re: Patch for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
The memory leak thing is giving me some hope that thats a large part of my problem with freezes in MP. Its nice to see it only took a week to get their first patch out, so im encouraged that in the near future the MP will be fixed.

Re: Patch for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
looks like they are already out trying to fix a few more problems aswell. I don't have a link to this infor, but I'm sure I read it! :/
I'm very pleased with this too. They didn't waste anytime patching the few problems they could fix.
