That was my backup plan.

Thanks a lot everyone and thanks TG admins . I love making maps and fully intend to do level design for a living in a few years' time

Re: Conclusion of TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest

A well-deserved 'win' Kilrogg. Glad the TG admins decided to award you the prize anyway. Again congrats! I guess there weren't any other submission just stemming from the fact that's it's so hard to make one in the first place let alone with as good a layout as yours!

Re: Conclusion of TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest

Congratulations on your award sir. This map is worth much more than $250, and in my opinion, should be more than enough to get you a job with Dice, Valve, or some other megagame maker!
Of course, those guys at EA wouldn't know a fresh perspective if it bit them on the nose....

I like this map because it seems to force confrontation, but it gives the Squad Leaders and CO many different avenues of approach for varying tactical styles. The flora of the map encourages defending units to dig in and set up Cong type ambushes. I love getting low with a squad and waiting to blow away a nervous patrol on this map.

Re: Conclusion of TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest

This map is my favorite, hands down. Congratulations are in order. Just think, for your next map our expectations will be through the roof. No pressure.

I think you and the creator(s) of Steel Thunder need to work in tandem. Holy hell what would that map look like?

Re: Conclusion of TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest

This map is beautiful, and a blast to play. If I had an additional video card, I'd bump up the graphical settings and just bask in the glory of Inishail Forest. I'd love to hold a picnic there one day, in between all the explosions and gunfire.

Thanks Kilrogg!

Re: Conclusion of TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest

There would have been some very nasty business had the committee not awarded you the prize. A great map -- certainly the best visual design of all the TG maps. Let us know when you get a job designing games.

PS I love the clouds, the Fall colours, the Billboards, -- only wish there was more wildlife -- deers, bunnies, moosealoops...

Very impressive, Kilrogg. I look forward to seeing what you will do with Battlefield 2142, if you do get your hands dirty in it, that is.
