Conclusion of TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest

The TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest has come to a close with just one map submitted - Inishail Forest by Kilrogg.

When we announced the Map Contest several months ago, one of the stipulations for awarding the prizes was that more than 5 maps needed to be submitted. This means that Kilrogg would not be awarded the grand prize of $250 USD because his map was the only one submitted.

(Click on the thumbnails for full images)

However, the Battlefield Administration team feels that Inishail Forest is of such high quality that we have decided to award the first place prize to Kilrogg in apprecation and recognition of all of the effort that went in to making the map. The map is currently in the map rotation of Battlefield 2 Server 1 and was included in the first Tactical Mod mappack for play in the Tactical Mod.

Please join us in congratulating Kilrogg on a job well done.

Congrats, and thanks for participating... it's a shame it wasn't more welcomed by the community.

Well done, sir.

Many here enjoy the work of others. Few among them perform the work necessary to draw the crowds. Many thanks.

Re: Conclusion of TacticalGamer BF2 Map Contest

Thank you for this fantastic and outstanding contribution to the community. I would also like to commend the TG Administration on awarding the prize despite the lack of competition for it.

I admit this has inspired me to fire up the map editor and start poking my way around.. it has been a long time.

Ahh Kilrogg, you should have made 5 other small little crappy maps and submitted them. Good job nonetheless.

NICE! and well deserved!

I am sure everyone know you spent a lot of personal time on this! Hope the prize will be a good incentive for more maps to come! (I know you are working on another one, thanks!)

hehe... it's more a labor of love... with all the time he put into it, the $250 probably only amounts to about $1.25/hr
