Re: Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat makes an appearance!

I'm going to play a bit on the TG server when I get home tonight to test it out. Unfortunately I won't be home until late, but I'll definitely be on! If anyone cares to get a game going in the meantime, that would help greatly!

Re: Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat makes an appearance!

I just checked the server out and had a problem, don;t know though if the problem lies with me or the server itself. while in game warning kept popping up saying "Punkbuster server running older version c1.056" then once kicked the kicked notice said "Server requires (A1331 c1.056) error loading pbcl.

I'm thinking it might be the server and not me bc I have just joined 5 other servers and not had a problem! if the problem is with me please post a fix if you are aware of one..Thanks!

It probably is. I'll kick off a PB update on it now to make sure it's up to date.

All updated!

Heli dynamics are intricate in DC, there is no way you can fly at first, but with practice heli flying is the best, way ... way better than BF2 or BF2142.

I'm in

DC required much more skill to fly those things. It took skill to fly it and then it took exceptional skill to master it. Avoid Apo at all costs if he's in one of those things. I'm just hoping he's as rusty with his flying as I am with my stinger use.

Don't forget deployable mortars and wasn't it DC that had suicide bombers?

For those that picked up the Anthology, the Road to Rome maps are some of the best maps in my opinion. I miss those games. No there isn't any in-game comms or squads, but that's what TS is for

I've still got every BF game installed so I'm ready to go!

Re: Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat makes an appearance!

I'm downloading all the patches and DC stuff right now. I'm going to try and hop on the server for a little while tonight if anyone is interested. It looks like I have about an hour for all the downloads to complete.

So I'll say 8:30pm-9pm eastern.

A little practice/warmup for next week's special session!

There should be more on Monday. A few of use veterans are planning to be there... I know I just won't be able to play until Monday. I'm looking forward to seeing out those stingers work.
