Natural Selection Adds Beef
Tactical Gamer Natural Selection, a bastion of the NS community for years and Tactical Gamer's longest consecutively-running title, has been given a shot in the arm in the form of a brand new server box!
The server's address is 74.52.157.234:27015, and it is running NS 3.2b1. Soon, the usual tgns.tacticalgamer.com will point there as well. Our old server will be coming down to make room for the new bully in town.
For the curious, the specs of our new server:
Dell \ Single socket 800FSB - Dual Core capable \ PowerEdge 830
Intel \ 3.4 GHz 800FSB Dual Core 2x2mb cache \ Pentium D 950
250GB HDD, 2GB RAM
Since this is a brand new box, there may be some kinks to work out as we work to recreate the environment that we've lovingly crafted over the years, so if you note any oddities, please bring them to the attention of the administration.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

The DNS has been updated. Propagation may take a little bit, but it should be mostly functional as of the time of me writing this.

I love beef! I have it in all my hamburgers!
The server seems a little fast for a Half-Life mod  You could probably run 2-3 seperate instances of NS on that thing without breaking a sweat. Of course you'd clog the pipe and all that but hey. 2 servers.

There's no chance on earth we could "clog the pipe". But it was provisioned with the intention of being able to run more than one instance.
