Tactical Gamer Ribbons Update - Page 2

Ok...I just had an idea.

I realize this isn't the proper way of asking these things but what the hell, I'm a rebel. What about service bars or longevity ribbons. For every year you been a part of TG, you get one bar, slash, cluster...thoughts??

No, because bigger numbers look better. It works in reverse.

Well, it would probably be scaled down into months and such. The problem would be ensuring active duty; if I just sort of up and leave for two years, I shouldn't come back to find extra stripes.

I'm still waiting to see if there will be ribbons for the two 2142 TG internal scrimmages (attended first of the two).

Has anyone said anything to suggest their won't be? Unfortunately it does take time to get new images created. I have a total of 3 people that are involved in producing them and they're all busy with RL and with other TG projects / responsibilities. None of the matches are going to get left out.

It would be helpful if you could PM me some info on the matches - dates & participants shoudl do.

I didn't mean it in that condescending of a tone. I know there was some mention before of a ribbon forthcoming, but was unsure if it was rumor or factual.

All right, I'll see if I can dig up the original posts for both of them.

Forgive my ignorance. Are ribbons and such for normal gameplay? I am a player that plays 2142 pretty much exclusively. After reading this post it would appear that ribbons for 2142 are forthcoming. Would I nominate players that simply play the game on the public server and have shown themselves to be outstanding in some way? great squad leaders etc... or are the ribbons just for behavior during internal scrims?
