Tactical Gamer Ribbons Update

Bommando and Panzerhans have been putting in some extra time and effort behind the scenes to improve and automate the way we handle the Tactical Gamer ribbon nominations and awards. We're making progress but we have not reached a final product yet.

We will be implementing an interim solution so players of new and existing titles receive their much deserved recognition for play and conduct on our servers. Please forward ribbon nominations for all titles to Ribbons.

Learn more about what titles support ribbons and how to nominate a fellow player.

Writing a nomination is easy. Simply explain why you believe your nominee deserves a specific award. Include some relevant background on their general ability in relation to the award. Also include some specific instances where this player has exemplified the award they are being nominated for. The appropriate admin team will vote on the nomination based on the information you provide.

Fantastic! I think this will really be a boost for the community.

I assume past-due ribbons will be issued eventually as well? (the dusty old nominations and at least two or three campaign (scrim) ribbons)

I agree. There have been a few scrims since I have been here and it would be cool to have a ribbon to show that we played in them. Also under the game specific ribbons can we add 2142 and a rocket specialist ribbon.

The 2142 admins haven't decided on their requirements yet. We can certainly create game-specific ribbons and as soon as I know what's needed I'll take care of getting any new ribbons created.

If someone can PM me details of the matches. opponents and participants we can sort something out.

Edit : Battlefield nominations - please state which mod the nomination is for.

Very cool. I was really missing the ribbon system. It is a great way to show appreciation for your fellow TG'ers. Thanks for getting this going again guys!

We're starting to get some nominations in, Whiskey has given me the info on matches that still need ribbons and the 2142 admins are pretty much done deciding on ribbons for that game. I'll be updating the appropriate thread once everythings finalised.

What we need now is a steady flow of quality nominations from players.
