I'm pretty sure that he'll take Cashier's Checks or Money Orders, you just have to wait for him to receive them via mail. PM him for more info...

I was more hoping along the lines of credit card. Paypal is doable, just bit of a pain in the butt to get verified.

Re: Changes coming to Tactical Gamer
I think many in the 2142 community were hoping something like was coming and will be pleased with the changes.
This is all about managing gameplay expectations within a game genre while maintaining the maturity level that makes TG so attractive. What apo posted was a perfect way to avoid so much of the conflict that has risen up recently. It is all about expectations. The 2142 admins have struggled to apply the primer to 2142. Phrases like "near simulation" are a bit of a stretch applied to the way the game is normally played and seems intended to be played. As more games come out and people that are TG want to play them. We need to keep teamwork and fun the focus. For some, the fun will come from realistic sim, for others it will come from cartoon violence and everything in between. There may still be some strife between communities, but no longer can one browbeat the other with a threat of not being TG because they are not following the "near simulation" clause of the primer. Kudos and thanks.

Re: Changes coming to Tactical Gamer
Apo,
I applaud you for seeking a scheme that keeps the TG community moving ahead and addressing the evolution of our many gaming interests. Let me know if any of us "WoW-heads" can help with drafting or editing the MMORPG material.

You can use a credit/debit card with PayPal without having to tie a bank account into it and go through that whole process.

Fear not! I completely intend on tapping into your ideas for the MMO channel at TG.

Re: Changes coming to Tactical Gamer
After reading the article and the responses, I gotta say that this is exactly what I meant in the "military experience" thread in Gen. Discussion. If this werent TG, there would be public smacktardery and insults abound if any change like this was made. But instead, we all embrace it as something new, something that will work, and something to challenge us a bit. Makes me damn proud to be part of this community. Sentimentalism aside, I love the proposed changes. Good work Boss!

Re: Changes coming to Tactical Gamer
This is indeed very interesting. To me it seems this will alleviate some of the gaming confusion I suspect TG goes through and WILL go through as it grows. And believe you me, TG has been growin like gangbusters without us really even trying.
Apo, you know your timing is perfect with addressing this situation because '07-'08 look to be the largest gaming market growth years in history. There are so many GREAT games out there encompassing many different genres, many of which TG is more then capable of supporting. Where most gaming communities would perish under growing pains such as this, TG will flourish. As far as the MMO scene goes. I believe WoW served as a great model for TG development. Many of the players that play TG-WoW end up playing other games TG supports, and hence become supporting members. This is one reason you find me now looking for that next "diamond-in-the-rough" MMO for us to play. With '08 looking to be the biggest MMO year ever, it's only natural we shift our stance a bit to go with the times. Granted, I also believe we shouldnt bite off more then we can chew in these regards either - it's a gradual process. We also shouldn't just go and support whatever game comes out unless it's truly worthy of our efforts. I'm REAL keen on the gaming development aspect of TG. There are SO many betas going on and so many people in TG who are devs, media, or have programming skills. Consolidating something like this would be great and make it a lot easier for us to identify newer gaming technologies and throw ideas around. This in turn brings in more gamers, and more supporting members.. and on and on. Not to mention, NDAs are more easily maintained. And know this... the wider (and more organized) stance we take, the more perks (clan listings, free games, exclusive betas, etc.) we get from the gaming companies. Believe you me... many companies already salivate at obtaining TG support for their games.
