We are now ready to run another course.
This will be much less lecture like and much more map specific. We would focus on standard starting tactics for the start of each map and practice executing them. The standard assaults on each critical flag and choke point of each map will be covered in depth. We would also go over specific flag stats for important flags. This will be held frequently and its content would evolve. We will probably focus on a single map each week. I would see this like a tactics planning session that a typical IHS would have prior to a map they were playing in competition. The focus here would be to prepare the squad leader for the typical conditions on our public 2142 conquest server which can be quite different than are seen in competitons.
You must have gone through the advanced 2142 conquest mode SL course to participate in the 2142 conquest mode SL Map tactics course.
This SL map tactics course will be held weekly and should be considered an ongoing tactics discussion and practice. It will take a few weeks to get through each map. We will cover new maps as they are released.
This is a nice controlled environment for squad leaders to practice the things they learned in the advanced course as well as quickly learn map specific tactics. Expect registration for that course to be posted within a few hours.
I will also function as an in squad tutor for any graduates of the 2142 conquest mode SL course at their request.
