Re: TGU CS:S Version

Just thought that I would yet again bring this up for discussion and possible involvement from CS:S admins. I would really love to see this happen, and if i would be able to be an instructor, i would gladly help as much as possible.

..Seriously? You're joking, right? Suppression fire is half of CS:S on TG. If someone's shooting at you with a M249 at the window on Italy, chances are you are NOT going to pop out which in turn gives your partner cover to advance.

Most likely the guy getting 'surpressed' is going to pop back in, and take out the guy spraying away. Only way for the M249 gunner to keep surpressing to kill the guy in the window before he gets popped..

Suppression fire with a m249 on long hall? Are you kidding me? Suppression fire just doesn't work in CSS no matter how much you want it to. On topic though I think I would be very interested in seeing a course for PCS.

Re: TGU CS:S Version

Suppression fire works more as a distraction on css for instance using suppression fire to lure the enemy's attention away from the bomber.

Re: TGU CS:S Version

Revisiting this thread I'm kinda surprised by some of the responses here. You make CS and CS:S, a game supposed to show off SWAT like tactics in urbanesque environments, seem less tactical in nature than large scale strategic games like Battlefield.

In fact, the arguements somewhat mirrors what players who visit PUB BF2142 servers say about our playstyle on the TG server. Then again, if you tell players on the TG BF2142 server that tactics are replaceable by running and gunning you'll probably be laughed right off the server.

Re: TGU CS:S Version

i would love to start a class up, i would like to know the basics of what i have to do to do it. I know that we would have to run over SOP's and the like material, but i think that it would be very useful. bounding strats, cover, clearing rooms, coms..... i think that it would benefit our server greatly.
