So who thinks we ought to have a friendly Grudge Match?

The map will be Al Basrah. Winning Team vs. anybody that participated in the IWS that feels like trying to beat them.

Since we didn't get to play Al Basrah the entire time, and I know a few people really wanted to play Al Basrah..

I was also actually thinking sometime in late July or early/mid August. Roster would be the winning team (if they agree) versus anyone from the other teams that wants to play against them. Would be limited to the first 32 people that signed up (obvious reasons) and then the other team, if it had slots available, would be filled by the remainder of sign-ups. We could do the reserve system similar to how it happened with the real IWS.

The map would be either Karbala or Basrah, as we did not get to play either of those for the entire duration of the IWS. We could actually play both maps depending on the amount of people that signed up/were interested in the match(es?)

Thoughts?

I haven't seen any objections to holding the event. Are you prepared to manage the lists and get the teams organized?

Can we decide on a date that doesn't conflict with anything else?

There are two options as I thought about, actually. We could do the above mentioned, OR we could make it three rounds that looked like this:

The latter would be a bit longer, but would give more people a chance to play.

We could have the first two games played on one weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and then the final game played the following Sat.

I don't think the admin community would be for a multi round thing. I also doubt team A would do it anyway. Too much coordination is required. I think 1 round is supportable (I can do that), but multi-round you would have to take it up with Dispo, as there are other plans in the works for a TTP vs. TG thing that is in works.

I am also doing the Kashan thing this weekend to fill in the gap.

I can support a 1 round thing as the admin, but multi-round, no.

yeah return of multiround tournies so soon after the iws... i still has that in my mind haha. i say just a rematch for the first 2 places and actually not insurgency. cause insurgency has too much to do with luck, morotrs and etc play a big part, where something spawns also. we should so a grudge round on a aas and c and c map and just play it out as combat players. haha but thats just my idea. something like what tmans doing this sunday.

Only reason I put the tree thing like that is because I was torn between whether I wanted to play Karbala or Basrah..

There is the retro night thing next. I am not sure what is lined up after that. When were you thinking of wanting to hold the game? Since teams will be assigned ahead of time, there won't be a need for roll call etc.

With the Muttrah scrim/event coming up, I felt like I should revive this thread. I'd like to begin sign-ups just after the Muttrah scrim ends, on Sunday.

The date'll probably be Sunday, November 1st, if there's no objections to it or nothing else is scheduled for that day.

Time .. maybe 1600 EST? I guess we can think about that when it gets closer.. but there'll be one week total for signups, plenty of time I'm sure.

Thoughts, objections, support? :P

Will this event be open to people who didn´t participate in the original IWS? As replacements or what not.

It'll be for all former Team D members that wish to participate on one side. They'll be on one team. Sign-ups will be open for the other team. If there aren't 32 Team D players, sign-ups will be open for the remainder of the slots. I think that'd work out fine. Tman?

Since it's already Tuesday, maybe Nov. 7-8 would be a better date. That'd allow for longer sign-ups planning as well. Tman?
