I don't think it did start at 2100 GMT, it started somewhere around 2004 GMT, according to the World Clock and your 4:04 PM Post. I think by GMT Ollie meant the British time which is +1 right now I believe
I myself thought it's gonna start 1hr later but PaintScratcher saved me

UK is on British Summer Time (BST) until:
Sunday 25 October 2009 01:00 GMT (02:00 BST)

Since most people are currently in There usual timezone + 1 (summer time), they can just do the normal conversion, if your not in summer time then it makes it different, i jsut post in GMT as its easier to conver you usual, winter, time zone to GMT that Your time zone + 1 into GMT +1. Ill post both in future/
