Re: Idea

I have a practice dates thread up in this TGU forum. It looks like we have 5 people for the Saturday the 18th from 2-6pm EST. Any instructors intrested?

Hmm, that poses another problem, which side are these guys on? We can't have them practice together as a squad and then be split up for the scrim.

How about on the TGU events on the private server, each instructor makes a squad that is named something about what they will be teaching. That way people can show up and work on exactly what they want to. That would also make manageable groups of 5 that can be rotated around and given individual attention from the instructor. So say I show up on one night and look through the squad list and see:

Armor
Air
Room Clr
Formation
Movement
Leader

I would have a choice in what to do and what I wanted to learn that night. Squads would be locked after a few minutes so new people cannot join in and disrupt the middle of a session. Lessons would be variable length.

Another thought:

Make easily recigonizable codenames for certian areas and instructors can create TGU squads when on the public server:

TGU ldr - leadership training
TGU inf - basic infantry training
TGU cqc - close quarter combat training
TGU co - talks to CO and gives advise
TGU ......

You get my idea. These would be run by only TGU instructors and would be less lax than private server settings, but would still focus on those areas and squad members would be taught about whatever the topic of the squad is.

*bumps that good idea*

Re: Idea

honestly, I think this TGU should be extended to 2142... that's where the most learning needs to happen IMO.

Would it make sense to use the community calendar to post date&times at which TGU squads would be available on the servers (POE2, BF2142) ?

Re: Idea

Thanks for the input MISTJimBob. We cannot make TGU effective without input from outside members and the people partisipating in "what they liked and what they didn't".

Good idea DB, I will get a schedule up.
