Event planning: Project Reality
With this new release, there are quite a lot of things people don't know about the game. A few of these:
Helicopters! Kits Rally Points Ammo Resupply APC's/new cars We need to get a TGU session up and running quickly to get these issues adressed. This would occur sometime after the 2142 session, but lets start bouncing ideas around for lessons and such. |

Re: Event planning: Project Reality
Suppressive fire would be worthy.
In vBF2, players would only shoot when actually looking at the enemy. IMO, the support kit was used for suppressive fire in the game by 2% of the players. Virtually null. With tougher revives, and longer spawn timers, A true 200 round unload (overheating not much of an issue) suppressive fire will yield more RL results. ____ While playing I. Forest this afternoon. Circu 12:00, we were getting shot from the Powerstation roof. As medic and worried about my platoon, I told the SL we needed to establish suppressive fire on that roof top. He seemed sort of lost. Then I think it clicked on him. __ Some things to be talked about during the TGU session .... I really do not know the exact science of suppressive fire. Sorry champs. __ In conclusion, suppressive fire should be in the event planning because due to the mighty support kit and the mod, it will bring about more tactical gameplay when used as is in RL.. __ P.S. I can't seem to recall anyone useing the special support kit sence my tour begain. I do not think players now what the blank to do with it.

I remember reading somewhere that in Vietnam the amount of ammunition expended versus the casualties (wounded or killed) was around 14,000 : 1 In real life that SAW is nothing more than deterent to move so your bravo team can move to flank. So, lets hope that either the SAW is a little more effective against standoff targets then RL or that somehow suppression can be effectively used in game. |

Re: Event planning: Project Reality
Whoever does the next chopper pilot session can you this video from this thread, post number 1: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-a...d-assault.html
I recommend the next chopper session to also have: 1. communications with the A. co-pilot/gunner to pilot B. SL to pilot C. SL to CO. 2. Communictions and picking up grunts 3. As dsy said, understanding the maps and where good LZ are. To quote the Douchie from Fox News: Some of these maps are HUUGGE!! 4. False inserations. (Confusing the enemy in where your dropping your cargo.) 5. Recon and the lil bird two seater. 6. Playing the gunner, and their position in the squad command. (I believe they should be the SL of the Seahawk, meaning the main radio guy and the gunner.)
