Re: TGU PR 0.5 Rotary wing (basic) module

Well I practiced flying the little bird some more. Using Goats notes and pointers from Blonov I was flying a circuit that consisted of taking off from the carrier, landing at Docks(!), and landing again at the carrier. I was able to run through this many times without crashing when I signed off. You guys have my gratitude.

100% climb in skill level... you have to understand that wimp at the beginning

couldn't get the little bird off the flight deck. even after class was done wimp

hung back and kept going and going and going just like the energizer

Good to see Wimp improved. I was with Wimp at the beginning and he killed me twice in a row.

Re: TGU PR 0.5 Rotary wing (basic) module

I was amazed as I joined the server with the buzz of activity; I hornet's nest I tell you. I'm also amazed at the progress I think many made, as I saw almost everyone pulling very tight and fast stop and go landings. You don't see that a lot in game.

I'm also thank full I got to join in so I could practice some stuff, because my game crashes on loading a local server since two months into bf2

I'm basically done with this now, it is 14 minutes in length and basically just contains the important bits from TeamSpeak and various videos I did with Fraps in single player. Sort of a summary/instructional video sort of thing. I will set it to encode tomorrow while I am at school and should have it up tomorrow afternoon in it's 720p30 goodness.

EDIT: Scrap that, for some reason the audio has disappeared from half of my videos and I won't have time to sort it before I leave tomorrow. Expect it tomorrow evening instead.

Re: TGU PR 0.5 Rotary wing (basic) module

I had a great time with you guys and Goat was an amazing instructor. However I feel that I could have flown the Blackhawk a lot better if I could just figure out why PR is causing me to have a bad connection. Even with that though it was a great day.

Re: TGU PR 0.5 Rotary wing (basic) module

Good news, I have finished the video and is now available for download:

High 720p30 118MB
Low 576p30 67MB
Google Video

The video is encoded with H.264, as it can achieve high quality video at relatively low bitrates. If you can't play it try with the VLC media player.

It is just under 14 minutes in length and contains clips from the TS recording I took and various Fraps videos I made in single player, as all I got in the actual training session before I filled my hard drive was me standing around.

It is pretty much a training video for those that missed the session, so it covers what we went over with example videos running in the background.

Enjoy.
