Thu 11/08/2007 -- KILLER GAMES

Some awesome fun tonight on TG TF2 #1. A bunch of TG folks came on, as well as some great new faces, which made for some very high quality games. Thanks to all of ye!

Re: Thu 11/08/2007 -- KILLER GAMES

Yeah, I was having a good time, especially on dust_bowl.

When we got snowballed on Granary, that was a bit frustrating. Nobody on my team was talking at all. I suggested scout/pyro rush at the start of each round, but we'd get me and one other scout and one pyro, plus the standard mix of whatever folks wanted to be. It gets lonely on the middle point when you are the only scout out there... If anyone else had come back with "No, I'd rather try this...", I'd be fine, but instead it was just dead silence.

At least Granary goes fast when your team doesn't have it together. The agony isn't prolonged.

He probably did. No one can be mad while getting snowballed.

I can't help remember the scene in "Clerks" when....oh....never mind...this is a family forum...

Depends. If your expecting it, probably not.

But if this is a surprise, well, there might be some interesting reactions.

I meant essentially what you mean by 'steamrolled', but I did mean snowballed. Picture a large snowball rolling down the hill at you getting bigger and bigger as it goes. Once the other team gets going on Granary, it feels like that.

From your comment, there is clearly some other colloquial (drug? sex?) use of the word 'snowball' I'm not aware of and likely don't want to be...

Oh yeah. Defiantly. To "Snowball" someone is very much a sexual term

There were games last night? Rats. The TG servers and Teamspeak seemed empty at 8pm EST.

Are there good places to chat with people waiting for matches to start? I have much to learn.

Yar, some really good games. I joined the server when only one other player was on (I believe it was Rampage), and we decided to try to seed the server. Soon enough, several more folks joined, and then quite a few came on after that. I know seeding the server doesn't always work, but sometimes it does.

If you're not already a member, I'd recommend joining the TG TF2 Steam Community Group.

If I remember correctly, when I started playing around 7:45 CT, the TG servers were empty. I played random pub servers for a while until I saw 5 people in TG1 (maybe 8:15?). I jumped in and it started building from there.

Many good games this evening with excellent teamwork all around. Kudos to all that came out and fought hard!

Just joined. Thank you Strag.

*sighs* I can't even quote a URL until 15 posts. Let's see, who else can I thank?

Thanks Quire, and I'm not just saying that to get my post count up!
