Anyone use a controller?
I have USB converter for my PS2 controller and I thought I would try and use it for TF2. However, I remember why I rarely use it for PC games. I can't seem to get the right analog stick working right. I managed to change all the controls to buttons on the PS2 controller but I can't get it so that the right analog stick is used for aiming and looking around like in most FPS console games. Anyone know if and how I can get this to work?

Man, it's been a while. There should be an option for joystick freelook. Other than that, go to the control panel> Gaming Controllers and make sure it's registering both sticks.

Using a controller? Blasphemy! Madness even.

Re: Anyone use a controller?
Sorry, but why would you even want to use a controller when you have a mouse?

Re: Anyone use a controller?
I've played console FPS for years so I'm more familiar with the control. I'd just been having a difficult time with accuracy. I just turned the sensitivity down a little bit so it's not so bad now.

Re: Anyone use a controller?
Accuracy is much harder with the controller, mouse its point and shoot.

Re: Anyone use a controller?
Did you get your problem resolved?
You are more than welcome to use the gamepad at TG:TF2 if you want to, as long as you still take time to communicate (you may want to bind a button to +voice as switching between the gamepad and keyboard will be difficult). I will say though that I've tried both forms of control (on other FPSs, not TF2) and you will see a massive improvement in accuracy and all around gameplay with a mouse and keyboard.

Re: Anyone use a controller?
Okay, I wasn't posting to start a debate about which is better. I just said I was better with a controller because I have more experience. Besides, I couldn't get it to work anyway so don't you worry. I'm not going to taint TF2 with the use of a controller.
