Some classes just are harder to play with, it's personal preference. I wasn't very good with the demo man because his play style didn't click with me, I spent enough time with him and now I'm pretty good with him.

Spy isn't easy, no one wants to die a million times, and in a game that's fast paced, spy is undoubtably the most patient class. Maybe if you're really patient you're willing to take all that time just to sap everything and maybe get that backstab or two in one run and still make it out alive. That's genuinely hard.

No being able to run in and maybe sap one turret before you get killed only to have the engi knock it off seconds later is no fun and it doesn't help your team much.

I pray every day for that game to disappear. It drives me to insanity.

If you're every playing when I'm a spy, you'll probably see about eight or nine messages in a row about an engineer killing my sappers. If you're persistent, they drain the health enough for you to shoot the damn thing.

Its not so easy to actually kill those people, and not die yourself. Also, much the like the Spy, you need the realize that its not a "Kill" class so much. Pyro is much better suited to "Hit and Run" and instigate chaos. Best Spy Checker too.

If Pyro wasn't a kill class it would be support instead of offense.

It's a definite kill-assist class. And in the right situations in the right hands, a lethal kill class. Add to that a consistent medic with ubers and you've got big headaches for the opposing team.

I've found that a dedicated medic for a pyro is an awesome combination. I'm not just talking about ubers. The boost in health will keep your pyro alive even if he gets attacked by a soldier. It really is ambush run, ambush again to kill.

Pyro is perfect for sentry gun cover, that 's about the only time I use it.

Great patch btw, I can finally import JPG 's now and haven't seen a paged pool error since .

Re: TF2 Update 11/7/07

I've had some of my best killing sprees with Pyro. Especially on defense in the last map of Dustbowl. After they take the first point, the offense sometimes gets piled up in the first narrow stretch past the first point. By taking the tunnel and then the stairs to the right, I can get up on the ledge over them. Several times I've jumped right into the middle of a crowd of unsuspecting heavies/medics/engies/soldier and flamed all around. I can usually take down 3-4 and flame a bunch as they scatter to the wind. Once or twice I've even survived!

It definitely takes the wind out of their sails.

Yes, Pyros are the ultimate ambush class. They need corners to survive, they rip it up in close combat. It's open spaces that are their killer. If you see a pyro in the open, they're your top priority until they can get to cover.
