    TF2 Update 11/7/07

    Better get to restarting that Steam Client of yours.

    Team Fortress 2

    * Improved paged pool memory tracking

    * Fixed crash on importing spray logo that claimed to be a valid jpeg file, but wasn't

    * Fixed Medic's uber-charge stats tracking

    * Fixed a bug in scoring Engineer building destruction

    * Engineers no longer earn points for using their own teleporters

    * Freezepanel hud improvements now trigger on usage of the "jpeg" command

    * Fixed Spies exploit enabling them to attack while disguising, without losing disguise

    * Fixed Spies being able to attach sappers through thin walls

    * Fixed several melee weapon switching exploits

    * Fixed exploit that allowed players to teleport with the intelligence

    * Fixed a client crash related to MP3 playing

    * Improved client handling of stats when a connection couldn't be made to the stat servers. Fixes several cases of stat loss

    Boo for making spy even more difficult to play. And Boo for making Engineer easier to play dumbly at the same time. EMF disruption works through walls... I shouldn't need to do anything but pull my radio out of my pocket and blow up every turret within 100 metres.

    So the only way you played Spy was using the weapon switch exploit and through-wall exploit?

    LOL, that's what I was thinking.

    I'm also very upset about their fix for the medic stats bug. It is going to be very difficult now for me to break my record of 8 invulns in one life.

    So I will finally be able to import JPG 's now? I always got a .dll error (vdex.dll or something).

    Paged pool has been bugging me too, I was able to increase it by 10MB but haven't been able to test it since.

    There was an issue with the update. Something about corrupted dlls. I've work the issue out on Server #1 and am currently in the process of getting Server #2 back online.

    Wonder if they are going to fix automatic resizing of images to the needed dimensions (a 2^n value). All other source games have been able to do this. TF2 requires the image dimensions to already be 2^n.

    Acutally, I've never sapped through a wall. I'm simply saying that it seems the Engineer fixes don't affect the class (they were minor scoring drops) while the Spy fixes make life harder. It's bad enough they took away the Scoutspy speed increase.
