TF2 to recieve 36 Medic related achievements!

Take a guess on how to get these. Hopefully this will encourage more medics, which means more successful Soldiers, Heavies and Pyros.

Also, according to the text, these 36 won't be the only achievements, so who knows how many more are coming our way.

Wow, 36 achievements for just one class means we must be getting a ton more. Sweet!

House call: Begin healing X players when they call for a medic (probably large number)
Hypocritical Oath: Since it's a spy with medic hearts, I'm guessing "Heal a enemy Spy, then kill them"
Chief of Staff: Finish a round at the top of the score board. Only way a medic could get that is to heal his ass off.
Infernal Medicine: Extinguish X players who are on fire.

Meanwhile I don't get props for eight backstabs in one inning.

I wonder why they're using so much orange in the icons. Most of the icons were monochrome and had no character-specific imagery. This looks like stuff that a halfway-talented forum monkey would put together to start a rumor.

36 is also a ton... what did they add when they ran out of ideas around 20? An award for hitting each player on the opposision exactly once with the bonesaw without dying, switching weapons, or jumping?

It wasn't a big deal that some of the classes had one class-specific award, like Sniper and Medic and Pyro, but this really seems to be a case of the game maker pushing a class on the players.

Anyone play Magic the Gathering? Anyone who did get ticked off and quit because Wizards of the Coast started pushing themes and set-mechanics in sets so strongly that they were dictating what you had to play rather than just making balanced cards and letting players make the choices?

Well, with how few people play medics now...

I see it as an okay move. The bulk of players who care about that sort of thing will have all 36 within a week or two of their release. The rest of us will slowly gather them up randomly. It'll be fun and amusing, and who know, some more people might actually play the medic more often now.

Oh please, we use a lot more than the bonesaw! Personally, I've got a scalpel, clamps, shears...

    Wait, it's TF2 we're talking about here... ;D

Just seems so over-the-top for one class. Oh well, whatever I guess.

I'm guessing you might be a little off here. It's actually the Hippocratic oath that doctors take, so I think the mis-spelling is a clue that this involves needlegun crit kills. Or it could just be that they can't spell properly at Valve.

Medic-related shouldn't mean that it's necessarily the medic that achieves them. I suggest that the "Hypocritical Oath" is being healed as a spy by an enemy medic before stabbing them in the back.

My thoughts are the same as Daxx's, heal the enemy spy then kill him.

I suspect it might mean being a spy disguised as a medic then stabbing someone.

That would be for spy, not medic. It's probably for killing a spy who called for a medic.

I hadn't thought of that, but I think that's probably the most likely.
