Removing the HUD
I know the command to remove the HUD is cl_drawhud 0 but it says that the server must be in cheat mode to do so. Is there a way to do it clientside with out having to mess with server variables so I can record video for the video contest?

Re: Removing the HUD
You might be able to mod the crap out of the HUD's definition file. Look up resources on modding CSS HUDs and you should find your way.

Re: Removing the HUD
Try recording a demo while you are playing (I think the command is "record filename.dem") and then remove the HUD when you playback the demo.

Re: Removing the HUD
Thank you I've never known how that record feature works. Is there a page with all the commands listed?
If all goes well I'll post how it goes
I was under the impression that users could remove their own HUD in other source games, I though I did it before in counterstrike not using sv_cheats. Am I wrong?

It was written for Half-Life 2, but applies to all the games in the Orange Box. The Advance Tweaking Part 3 has a description of all the demo commands.
