Like I said, unless some steps up and takes the reigns, we'll most likely have to wait for the next season. No big deal as it would give us time to throw together our own internal scrim.

I was considering it for a while, but I was co-leader of a CAL team and we did the same sort of thing. "Yeah, we have just barely enough people, everyone will show up, right? YEAH!" Then, the second week arrives and it's a Mexican soap opera of people not showing up, showing up an hour late, omg dad wants teh compurter sry!, and loss-by-defaults screwing up our honourable competition since a default win kills your point standings.

Additionally, I don't know if we're really Tactical enough. Last night we had a couple members of Average Joe's, and I was hearing haccusations just because the two would:

    • Work as a pair.
    • Use proper approaches to break guns with uberheavy.
    • Score more points than I did. (Like, 80 v 50)

There was nothing magical about them other than the fact they weren't playing solo on autopilot like many players do.

Amongst our players -- SMs and regs and pubbers -- we're decent at calling out threats, but other than medic suppository I don't see a whole lot of strategy, and when I do see it, the team that has a plan steamrolls the other team and then people whine about stacks.

Before winning BFCL, we must assemble our comeptitive team, scrim with competitive groups, and build some muscles. That will let us find who is up for competitive play, assemble some two- and three-man plans to lean on when we need to gain or defend our ground, and win some laurels. It's better to decline than to go in half-cocked and publish a 0-2-Drop record.

I'm okay with just doing scrims, but I think we definitely should start working competetively as a group.

I'm also for playing more competitively and serious when we're online. If enough of us are on let's get on the same team, change classes up, and get some practice in. I'd also be up for practices as scheduled if I can make them. I can do scrims and practices any night reliably except for Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights.
