vguimatsurface.dll causing crash on load
as the title says, i get a hl2 appcrash stemming from vguimatsurface.dll anytime i try and load up a server. if anyone can help, let me know. I checked steam support for it and theyre useless as always.
system specs:
Pentium QX6700 quad core
8GB DDR2
2x Radeon x1950 Pro XTX LE 1GB cards
Vista Ultimate

Have you tried deleting the thing.

negatory.
problem appears to be solved. I completely uninstalled/reinstalled steam and all steam applications.Last edited by Ferris Bueller; 01-15-2008 at 12:36 AM.

Holy cow. And yes i meant the dll file, usually when you start the game back up, it creates another one to replace it and it usually fixes it.
