certificate length error! 0/2048 what is this, it pops up whenever i try to join a server in TF2.

Are you running a 64-bit OS?

32-bit Microsoft Xp home edition with SP2.

Most of what I've googled is either an issue with a 32-bit OS or a cracked version of TF2. I'll dig some more.
