    "We" don't kick anyone. The server automatically does that and chooses it based on time connected, I believe (at least it was like that for Dystopia). If not that, it's probably random. Stop complaining fish, seriously. No one is attacking you... or out to get you.

    BAT is pretty basic when it comes to reserved slots. I believe it starts with anyone in spec, then moves onto the one with highest ping, although I cannot verify this.

    That said, TG:TF2 cannot give precedence for one public/reg player over another. The only people that exceptions can be made for are those with Supporting Member status. But I look at it that you obviously enjoy our server enough to annoyed when booted off for a reserved slot and that's a good thing.

    Really the only option to remove that annoyance is to become an SM. Join the Dark Side Fish. We have cookies.

    Actually, it's making me like the server less. Either the server is entirely empty, or I can't get in because either it was full when I got on or I get booted off after I seed it for slot reservation. And there is another option besides becoming an SM (read: giving TG money that I don't have); simply playing on different servers. TFR seems to generally have people on, without alwaying being full. I wonder if they have BAT installed.

    They run a reserved slot system. I believe they use Beetle's Mod.

    I agree with Fish in that the server is empty a lot. TFR, Focused seem to always have a lot of people on the server. I wonder what they do different. I wonder if there should be a little more agressive push to bring in more people and get them tagged.

    However, they and most other popular servers do the same thing (boot you for reserved slots) and its understandable. All I do is log back in with autojoin and play another server in the meantime. When someone leaves it logs you in automatically.

    Dont get me wrong, when there are people on TG its great but that seems to be reserved for afternoons, monday through friday.

    Beetlesmod does reserve slots and yet we're stuck in the BAT-cave?

    There's a lot involved with regards to automatic reserved slots. kormendi and I beat BAT with a hammer, and from what I can figure (with help from EKS, the BAT dev) we were probably the first TF2 server to have automatic reserved slots. That didn't happen overnight.

    We can't just load mani (I double-checked and that's what they run) and call it a day. You have to hammer out the syntax perfectly, then test the results (which was something kormendi was working on for a while). If it could be done in 5 minutes, I would have had mani loaded for testing long ago.

    The problem is, a lot of stuff comes extra with mani that we just don't need, so I also have to either cut that out, or make sure everyone know how to use it.
