Ah, that makes sense then. I should have thought of that.
Since everyone seems to not be sure about teleporters awarding point for self use... If you use your own teleporter it will increment the "Times used" counter (I think that's what it says) in the top left of the screen, but you will only get points for teammates that use it. The scoreboard only counts teammates using the teleporter for the count at the bottom.
