Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
those achievements are kind of hard. Its really going to detract from the strats. Wish they had been less achievements and not so anoying. I mean, kill 20 scouts with your seringe gun? youll have medics breaking away from their heavies (or whatever) any time one of those buggers gets near just to try and get a lick in. Anyway, hope the new weapons add a lot to the gameplay.

Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
The new medgun (and you can't tell me that the name "critzkrieg" isn't intended to make people say a questionable word) is nice, but it doesn't really do much. Solider doesn't need it, Heavy will be more effective against guns, demo doesn't need it... Pyro has the most to benefit. No one else ever gets über.
The new needler doesn't do much except hate on spies, who can't down a medic with Revolver without a crit. The new bonesaw doesn't do much except hate on spies, who are generally stupid enough to get near a medic. Idiots.

Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
I honestly, for probably the first time ever, don't know what questionable word you're talking about. It's just taking the term "blitzkrieg" and making a pun out of it, but I can't be one to tell you to take your mind out of the gutter. I think Demos will benefit most from it. 8 crit-stickies (or more if you can get 2 demos)? Yea, that'll most likely kill 'em.
A syringe gun is basically worthless without crits, but the Vampire will probably be enough to keep you alive. I'll have to see that one. The new bonesaw will own. I didn't expect it at all. Hmm, I have 75% uber and a spy is going to kill me unless I can somehow either:
A) Crit-bonesaw him
or
B) Activate Uber
Bam! One hit and you can uber. It may be a "waste", but you're still alive.
I do like how these achievements are going to be hard to get though. I hate the "Cpt. Dude Syndrome" where there is one person that everyone considers to be the Jesus of TF2. (I'm not saying he's not great, but it gets annoying.) We end up with too many medics, and the bad medics try to steal the good player from the good medics. The same is going to happen, just without necessarily having a good player on our team. CDude will enjoy punching out 4 guys when ubered. He does it already anyways.

Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
Nah, when I first started playing, I got this soldier (I don't remember his name unfortunately. It could've been Lox and he was in the clan DeJaVu, but I don't know) that was really good. We would always pair up and when people saw that we were a good team, people would come up and someone would steal him. I usually ended up on the top of the scoreboards regardless, so take what I want from that. I am the jealous type ROCKS. Thanks for being considerate. I'll remember that next time you're on.

Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
I had to go back and re-read one of your posts and I see what you are saying now. Still complaining, just about something different than I originally thought.
If you don't like the "bad medics stealing C.Dude" then get to him first. And if you can't, kindly ask a medic to let you aid him. But in all reality, it won't always happen and you should be willing to allow someone else to aid the big fat heavy!

Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
If you played medic extensively you would know what I mean. These are the people that pub crawl, but in a bad way. They don't communicate with their team, and when they see a good player, (by the way, the soldier I referenced earlier is named Lox, part of the [DeJaVu] clan. He has over 435 hours played as soldier.) they latch on to him for easy points. Unfortunately, they lack basic medic skills like the said communication, awareness of the battlefield, and inability to dodge. Get 2 or 3 of these guys, and you get a cycle going where the good medics decide to play other classes, the bad medics find out they can't get any score this way and they switch, then the good medics switch back, etc. It messes up the rhythm of the team, so your team more often than not ends up losing, regardless of having some really good players on the team.

Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
The main problem with this update is the servers that will inevitably be filled with only medics, followed by the arguments that started because because player SoandSo249 won't go heavy or soldier to help player OtherPlayer892 get their achievements, even though OtherPlayer892 did switch when SoandSo249 asked, thereby granting SoandSo a new medigun and, in a process of cause and effect, making OtherPlayer a worthless flaming noob.

Re: Big Update Coming From Valve
I only forsee this happening for about a week or 2 max. And not EVERYONE enjoys medic enough to rush to get all the achievements.
