Re: Yoshies Vids
I never knew headshots counted for x2. That makes me feel less pwned (still pwned but less so). Nice tips on the sniper by the way.

Re: Yoshies Vids
Magna: My version of Win is XP pro. I have the MX revolution by logitech, brand new. It has an option to ignore windows sensitivity and use the apps'. Its also supposed to detect games but it seems never to work, leaving search buttons on the mouse alive that switch me out of TF2 to my desktop. Ive been left standing before the start of matches with the enemy about to come through the flood gates and Im trying to tab back to TF2. The point being the management software from logitech is crap. Anyway. I run the laser mouse directly on a wooden desk which seems to be ok. Any suggestions against this? Thanks.

Re: Yoshies Vids
I avoid driver/software; I've seen a few that were nice but they tend to be bad when they stumble.

Re: Yoshies Vids
its the feeling of infutility that comes over you as you get taken down by a guy who you can do nothing against. I used to snipe on battlefield 2142 a lot as well as Team fortress Arena and its a lot of fun.

Re: Yoshies Vids
Suggest they drop it to ½-point bonus for the headshot, then.

Re: Yoshies Vids
I got the MX518 recently, not realizing that was the same mouse Magna had once suggested to me and I love it. I use a custom made mouse pad (online retailer I designed it through) and love the "on-the-fly" sensitivity controls that are built on the mouse. Between those and valve's sensitivity options, this mouse does a damn fine job.
And to think I was using a wireless by Microsoft!
(That was just for your Magna)

Re: Yoshies Vids
Think about the majority of snipers out there though...yea, they don't care about the team. I think Valve's reasoning behind the 2 point headshot is that they wanted to encourage sniper-esque behavior. They want people to take that little extra time to aim for the head, whether they hit it or not. It's kinda like a way to balance it. It the snipers are going for headshots, they're going to miss more and instakill more, while taking more time, which makes them an easier target than people who "peek".

Re: Yoshies Vids
Probably, but I do agree that theres a lot of snipers who don't care about the objective, thats really not their cup of tea.
Kind of unrelated, but it seems that theres a edit cutoff. I was planning on using this topic as a compliation of all my videos but I guess I just could make a new topic/post or whatever for everytime I make one.

Re: Yoshies Vids
I posted up two new mini clips:
http://www.gamevee.com/viewVideo/Tea...e_medic/328766
http://www.gamevee.com/viewVideo/Tea...entries/328626
Unfortunately Vimeo went Emo about gaming videos, so I've reposted the videos under a gamevee account, you can see them here: http://www.gamevee.com/user/mikelat/videos
Vimeo was pretty high quality. Gamevee is not as good but its still better than youtube/wegame.
