Stupid question
I have been putting it off for too long but...
How do you crouch jump? Yes I admit it, I have logged hours and hours of TF2 but have never learned how to do it.

Re: Stupid question
You hit croutch and jump almost immediately afterwards, and it gives you something like +4 units of vertical. There is a specific timing that works that Valve has been in love with since at least the original Half Life. If you jump early you don't get the boost, and if you jump late the croutching will start to slow you down and you lose any potential range benefit.

Re: Stupid question
Yeah, it's pretty much a bind as far as i know...
bind "(a key)" ctrl+space? I dont know, you'd need to google it.

alias +crouchjump "+jump; +duck" alias -crouchjump "-duck; -jump" bind "<key>" "+crouchjump" echo "Crouch Jump Loaded Properly." Any reason not to just all jumps to a crouch jump? (i.e. remap the space key)

Re: Stupid question
Played tonight, I just jump higher all the time. Can still do a move and jump and, as Scout, I can still double jump. I

Next I am going to give the "rocket jump" and the "stab then cloak then disguise" scripts. Anything to help these old fat fingers of mine. Then I'll be better than all of you, right?

Re: Stupid question
I rarely ever cloak and disguise after a knife kill. If someone's watching you, you're as good as dead if you try to get away like that. Your best bet is to turn around and shoot them while backpedaling. Rocket jump might be useful, but it's as easy as shooting, jumping and crouching at the same time, much like ctrl+alt+del all at the same time.

Re: Stupid question
The problem with rocket jumping is you need to aim different places depending on what your doing so I'm not really sure how useful the script would be. Plus you can vary height by the gaps between crouch, jump and shoot.
