PUG scrims?
I recently learned about a IRC channel that sets up PUG scrims. I had never really thought of the idea, since I thought most competitive gameplay was all set up in clans or communities like ourselves. So I was curious as to if anyone here had ever participated in a PUG scrim, or similar event. (whether it be 6v6 or whatever) Tell me about your experience, cause I wanna know!
The IRC channel was #tf2pickup on Quakenet/Gamesurge, for the record, so if tonight or tomorrow you happen to be bored check it out for me?
(I'm currently at my mothers, on a slow internet connection and a linux laptop, no TF2 for me.)

Re: PUG scrims?
I pugged a lot in my CSS era. Not very interesting in my mind, they seemed to have the informality of a pub round without any of the actual fun of pub players doing fun pub things. Either we'd be against total nubs and learn nothing, or we'd be against a CAL-IM and be wrecked beyond any ability to practice.

Re: PUG scrims?
I'm thinking of giving it a shot on Monday/Tuesday sometime. If any of the TG guys are on I'll drop you a line. I want to give competitive play a shot, but I don't think I'm in the same league as you guys yet. Haha.

Re: PUG scrims?
I pugged for CoD2. I thought it was fun, so why not try it out?

Re: PUG scrims?
I don't like the no-crits, and the class restrictions can be annoying sometimes.
