You're gonna need biiigger guns!

GCF surfers have turned up evidence in the voice sample collections that Heavy is next, or at least, has been recorded by the localisation voice actors.

I'm guessing they're going to give Sasha an update that allows it to fire both forwards and backwards, a new weapon that causes Heavy to spin around whenever someone raises an arm, and brass knuckles with spydar. You know, for balance's sake.

That'd kill your FPS, though. Wait until raytracing takes over.

not with my rig sir.
By the way, seems the sniper may be coming out simultaneously. There are some new sniper tracks in the french version too.

I'm stumped. I can think of ideas for all the other classes, but I can't think of any for the heavy that wouldnt make him just as ridiculous as pyros.

If its anything like previous patches, heavies will get a crossbow that can shoot snipers on the other side of the map, and it also stuns them for 5 seconds.

Remember when spies and countersnipes were your primary concerns? Ahhh, good old days.

Heavy is pretty balanced these days. I know fists stink cause you can never catch anyone to use them and when you do its usually a 2 puncher so by the time the second punch is on the way your pray is gone. I have read the sound files and it seens we are getting fists of steel so they may be even more slow but may only need one hit to srop people. The balance to this already exists, we are slow so if we catch you with our fists you deserve to get knocked out.

as for the others, I can expect a gun with slower stronger bullets with a tighter spread that maybe dont stop at one body but travel throught until they hit a solid structure.

As for the shotty, who knows? A wider spread but more bullets per shot to increase short range effectiveness. Oh yeah and its a magic shotty that builds ubers without the need of the medic and gives us levitation for only 3 minutes.

But seriously, I think that it will make the load outs suitable for the two gameplays for a heavy, defensive or offensive. If you are going to be holding on to an area then you load out with B. If you are going to be out in the field you work it with A. Something like that.

Yeah, I already think heavy is balanced as is. Ace wanted a backpack to just put his medic in.

I think a more creative secondary weapon is in order, the shotgun is a bit generic. Generally for a front line damage sponge the heavy does quite well. He's not impossible to take down but he can stir things up when paired with a medic.

Somewhat a bit like my thoughts. I think the releases are doing more to unbalance it than they're balancing it. Minor fixes are all we needed (like dropping the rocket number). If they released all the packs at once, maybe. But that would be perhaps too much of a radical change, and also probably be a logistics nightmare.

Re: You're gonna need biiigger guns!

I'd say that by letting them go one at a time it reinvigorates interest regurely in TF2, something not entirely bad Also the content comes out faster which I enjoy

As for the Heavy's unlocks:
-Sasha: Radioactive adaptive metal now grafted onto Sasha means Sasha's always hot and ready to go. Faster spin up and spin down speeds as well as movement speed while firing at the loss of 50hp.
-Shotgun: Internal Combustion engine stripped from a lawn mower grafted on means that this shotty has charge up before firing. When it does though it guarantees a crit
-Fists: Brass knuckles. Actually punches faster (somehow) but includes having to pull your punches meaning you have to rev up with the right click :P
